day 4 thursday

Today is day four of our journey across the northwest seeking different tribal forests. In the morning everybody at camp had to get up a 7 o' clock,  which was very difficult. A big reason why it was so difficult was because of the time we spent at McDonalds blogging. We did not arrive at the camp until about 9:00 last night . Which by then we only had an hour of sunlight left for the rest of the day, but we still managed to get our tent up. So for breakfast we had scrambled eggs and cereal which was enough to fill me up. But as we start to do our dishes. My little brother Cristian had spotted a deer about ten yards away from a table. This was a spectacular way to start my day off, but I still wish I could have gotten some pictures of the doe that had sneaked up on us during breakfast. After breakfast we loaded up and headed for Lava River Cave. About five minutes from the campsite. As I sit in the front seat I look back and notice that all the students are fast asleep. Arriving at the caves we were asked to please wear a sweater, because the cave was 40 degrees. They were very interesting and cold. But we had learned new facts about the caves and all of their in inhabitants. Bats live in the Lava River Cave. They eat all of the bugs that live in the cave. After that we went to the big hill where we had talked to some of the forest managers. They had talked to us about how they got interested in their job. We went on a mile hike to look at the falls. My legs are actually really sore form the steep hills, but i enjoyed the views of everything. By then we were heading to lunch. We had hamburgers, they were awesome considering we ate hotdogs the last couple nights. Overall I had an awesome day and learned of a lot job opportunities in the field of forestry.
